Retirement community is a term for a variety of different types of housing for seniors or people that are retired. Retirement communities are geared for people that don’t work anymore and usually include a lot of amenities for socializing like clubhouses, pools, arts and crafts, golf courses, trails, and medical facilities on site with separate and autonomous homes for residents.
ost of the time these communities are age restricted. On the other hand a retirement home is a multi-residential facility with residents living in apartments or suites. A retirement home sometimes has facilities for meals, gathering, and some form of health care but not the same kind of social amenities that a retirement community has.
