The amenities provided by assisted living facilities vary depending on the facility. Typically the facilities that offer more amenities will have a higher cost. Common amenities usually offered by most assisted living communities include: assistance with bathing, toileting, dressing, eating, walking, and medication management, 3 meals a day in a common dining area, access to health care and medical services, on-site social and religious activities, recreation and exercise facilities, 24 hour personal response systems in each room, wellness programs, transportation arrangements, 24 hour security, laundry and housekeeping.
At some facilities you might even be able to find barber shops and beauty parlors, pharmacies, physical therapy services, libraries, gardening areas, and educational programs.
